A man sitting on rocks by the rocky shoreline, sketching or writing in a notepad with a camera hanging from his neck, overlooking the ocean and trees in the background.

Creating art is my way of connecting with the world. It’s the thread that runs through everything I do.

I see quiet grace and wonder in the moments that we often overlook in our everyday lives. I’m fascinated with light and how it makes us feel. It might be as simple as sunlight hitting the kitchen table, shadows across a wall or when the light breaks through the trees. Quiet magic, that’s what I’m chasing. I want to capture those moments that take us by surprise, stop us in our tracks, and make us pause, contemplate and reflect.

My creative practice has always been my sanctuary and testing ground, helping me to stay curious and connected. In a digital-first world, honesty and endeavour in craft inspire me. Through colour, light, and shadow, I want to slow down time and hold those moments still, long enough to study them, understand them, and capture them.
